The excitement in Baileys face was amazing, Erik couldn’t remember the last time he had seen someone as enthusiastic about something. “You are right, he is really amazing, I think that half my fans have only ever heard about me because of him.” Then he saw her face when she heard his offer to take her to see the maker of the music and a huge grin appeared on his face. It had definitely been a good fantastic idea to give her the option, it seemed like it had just made her day. “Sure it is no problem; the guy owes me a favor, besides he is really a nice guy.” He paused for a moment and then added with a side note “Not as nice as me, obviously but nice all the same” Erik still had a massive grin on his face after seeing her choked face after his offer. “I suppose you are right, it wouldn’t really be beneficial for my carrier if I ran around telling people that I couldn’t act to save my life” Erik stopped and tried to make a suspicious face “you are not secretly making a movie are you? If so than now that this is not all I have” Erik held the face as long as he could but it was clear that he was just messing around. Erik got a thoughtful expression “I don’t really know, I suppose I have never thought about it like that. Then again, perhaps you shouldn’t trust me, perhaps I really am a terrible dangerous person. I guess you will just have to tire and find out” He gave her a smile full of mischief, he looked like he was planning some cleaver way to trick the whole place into spilling dinks on their shits and convince people that it was a good idea.
“Well I find that you can tell a lot of things with a smile. Especially when it comes to meet new people, and life is no fun if you don’t meet new people then it is just boring” He looked a bit around to emphasis his point, the place was crowded and everybody sat around talking to other people, it made the whole place buzz with a special feeling of life. Then he turned his attention back to Bailey and smiled at her. “You are definitely right, this city is full of so many interesting people. For example I just meet you here, and you seem pretty interesting.” He smiled but then he heard the sound of his phone getting a message, he frowned as he toke it out of his pocket and looked at the message, it said that a new script had been sent to his apartment and that he should look at it. “This is the worst part about being an actor, people expect you to be available all the time. Anyway could I get your number so that we can find out about that trip to the studio?”

Letting her awestruck expression slowly morph into a confused frown, Bailey looked Erik over for a while, her excitement still evident despite her now concerned look. She bit her lower lip softly, leaning slightly towards the blond man in front of her. "Don't get me wrong," she began carefully, not wanting to hurt him or seem ungrateful. "Believe me, I am beyond excited about this, it's actually like a dream come true, it's just..." she trailed off, letting her gaze sweep out across the restaurant, but never focusing on anything, before she looked back at him. "Why would you do that for a complete stranger?" She was having second thoughts on whether or not she should agree to the meeting. People had a tendency to have reasons for doing nice things for her, and though Eric seemed like a nice guy, She really had no reason to trust him. He was as much a stranger to her as she was to him.
Despite her inner conflict, Bailey couldn't help but giggle at Erik's antics. He was so playful and energetic that she just wanted to like him and get along with him. He reminded her quite a bit of Austin. She giggled again and shook her head a bit. "You're not exactly making yourself look any better you know," she told him merrily. The smile he sent her made her imagine him persuading people to pour soda down their shirts because it was in fact the latest fashion. She grinned broadly, not only because she was able to imagine it so easily, but because that would be extremely funny as well.
Beaming at the compliment, Bailey ran a hand through her hair carelessly. "You're not exactly boring yourself," she replied. She looked away as his phone gave a sound, wanting to give him some privacy. Her fingers absentmindedly started beating a the rhythm from before on the table as she looked at the table across from where her and Erik were sitting. The guy with the drum stick straws was joined by a girl with a lot of bracelets, who smiled and shook her hand, making the bracelets jingle in tune with the guy's drumming and Bailey's soft tapping. Bailey smiled before looking back to Erik, giving him a sympathetic look. She didn't know much about how actors worked, but she knew her own job, and that had its downs as well. She tilted her head to the side in contemplation when Erik asked for her number. Finally deciding that there could be no harm done in giving him her number, the brunette reached out to grab his phone with a smile. It would be a lot easier if she just put it in herself.

Erik was a bit confused as he saw the change in expression on her face. Though she still looked like she wanted to come, and still looked excited, it was as if she had become aware of some problem. In fact she looked a bit concerned as she bit her lip and leaned towards him. When she began to talk he could have hit himself over his own stupidity. Of course she would be concerned about his motives when she hardly knew him, why hadn’t he thought of that before he asked. Well he knew why, he had just gotten so caught up in her enthusiasm that he hadn’t thought it through before he made the offer. “Well because I am nice” he said with a careful smile. “In truth I got a bit caught up in your obvious enthusiasm, and it seems I did not think it through” his smile tuned into a sheepish look “But know that it is in fact entirely selfish of me. You see, you seem really fun, and I thought that if I gave you this chance, then we might get to know each other.” He realized that he might sound a bit pushy and added “But I understand if you don’t want to come, after all I am a complete stranger. Okay so it wasn’t all selfish of me, the fact is that Gary sometimes gets overlooked and I wanted him to get a chance to meet such an obvious fan. That and you seemed so enthusiastic about it that if anyone should get the chance it should be you.” He thought for a another moment and then said “Besides if you are worried that you cant trust me, then just think about what effect it would have on my carrier if I did something and you then told the press, it would most likely ruin me, so that is not something I am going to do. Not that I would anyway I am really a nice person.”
He was glad to see that he hadn’t scared her completely as she still smiled. “Well that might e true, but if you can’t trust what I say, how do you know I was telling the truth when I told you that you couldn’t trust me? In the end it all comes down to you, and what you think, if I am trustworthy or not.” He smiled feeling a bit philosophical and smart as he said that. Which was a bit of a rare thing, back when he went to school he was never the smartest kid. Okay not true he was smart, just not in the way that the school had wanted him to be.
Just before he had graphed his phone he had seen that this time she received his compliment well. As she took his phone and started to press in her number he gave her a big smile, he remembered what she had said about his poster smile and remembered to make it a natural smile. “Good even if you decide that you don’t want to come by the studio, I hope that we can meet again sometime. Since we are both such interesting and fun people we should have some fun together, don’t you think. And I am sure there will be another chance for you to meet Gary if you want to wait until you are sure that I have no suspicious motives behind the invitation. Oh and I will send you a text with my number so that you have it, just you know, don’t give it to all kind of strange people, I have enough of that already.” He added the last with a grin.

Feeling guilty for not trusting Erik, Bailey gave him a half smile. "Look," she said softly, wanting to explain herself and also possibly reassure him. It seemed like she had somewhat hurt him, and that had definitely not been her attention. "It's not that I don't want to go, because I really do, and I'm ecstatic that you would even consider asking me." Her smile broadened and it was full out genuine, but there was also a tiny hint of sadness, which she desperately hoped that Erik wasn't observant enough to notice before she could hide it. "It's just that, usually when people have been nice to me before, they've had ulterior motives of some kind or another." She grinned broadly, waving a hand in the air to make a joke out of how messed up she was. "I've got trust issues. You shouldn't let it bother you." She added the last part with a laugh.
Bursting out laughing at Erik's assessment of his own level of trustworthyness, Bailey bent over forwards clutching a hand over her mouth so as to not disturb the entire restaurant. To be honest, what Erik had said wasn't that funny, but paired with Bailey's general mistrust with people, the poor guy had basically just unknowingly told him that he should never be trusted. This fact was so opposed to the vibe he was giving off that the whole situation simply became hilarious to her at that moment. "That was probably the worst thing you could have concluded out of that," she told him, still snickering and attempting to catch her breath, and feeling a bit sorry for Erik, as he might not be able to follow her humor.
Luckily, she had managed to contain her giggles by the time she had taken his phone. She typed in her number, pushing the buttons in a distinct rhythm without realizing it, before handing the device back. The smile she received from him was more genuine than the last couple of ones he had sent her, and she couldn't help but return it. She giggled softly as Erik lightened the mood again. "Of course," she said with a smile. "We shouldn't keep all this fun ad interestingness apart. I can't promise anything about your phone number though." She winked, giving away the joke and hoping that he would see it as one and not get offended. She breathed deeply, before she gave him a shy smile. "So, next Monday, you said? What time?"

It seemed that she had become a bit uncomfortable by the conversation. From what she said, Erik gathered that Bailey thought he had become hurt in some way. This was of course not true, he had become aware how stupid he was, but he wasn’t hurt. After all, it made perfect sense for her not to just trust him as soon as she meet him. He was just about to respond to her, when she gave him a broad smile that he had to return. But in the smile he thought he some sadness, but if it had been there she was quick to hide it. Never the less, he was convinced that it had been there, but seeing as how she tried to hide it, and that she had just told him that she had trust issues, he decided to save that for another time. “Well there is no need to worry, there is no ulterior motives here, except maybe letting you eat some of the crappy lunch, I suppose that could count as a ulterior motive as that would mean less for me” He smiled at his own joke, hoping that it would lighten the mood a bit. Even though she joked and laughed about the last part, Erik felt that there was something to it, it made him a bit sad and he hoped he would get a chance to talk to her about it eventually. “Well don’t worry it takes a lot more than that to bother me. I am telling you, once you have gotten used to press people all the time, there isn’t a lot there is able to bother you.”
Erik was pretty sure that his comment hadn’t been that fun. This made the overly amused response from Bailey a bit unusual. On the other hand, it was hard not to laugh with her, and Erik had a big smile on his face, but then he remembered what she had just said about the trust issue. That together with his joke about not necessarily being trustworthy was a very odd mix. It did make the whole thing seem a bit ridicules, and his smile became a small laugh. “Well I must admit perhaps that wasn’t the smartest comment I have made all day. Perhaps in the future I should wait with the don’t trust me comments. Though at least it was good for a laugh.”
“Definitely not, if we kept all the funny and interesting people apart, then I would seem like a total idiot when I made strange comments about whether or not I can be trusted, and what fun would that be?.” He smiled both at his own joke and her comment about the number “well if it happens then it happens. If nothing ells it could be fun to get strange calls from people I don’t know, life becomes so boring if you only talk to the people you know.” He took his phone back and looked at the number. “What time well, I have to get to work at 6 am, we are shooting a morning scene. But that is perhaps a little early for you? if that is the case I can either fetch you in the lunch break around noon, it is up to you”

Still giggling from Erik's less than lucky comments on his own level of trustworthiness, Bailey put her elbows on the table and rested her head on her hands, studying the blond man in front of her. She felt bad for not trusting him, despite her old experiences, and she was happy that it didn't seem to be bothering him. "Not the smartest comment of the day, huh?" she inquired with a glint of humor in her eyes. Out of the corner of her eyes, she vaguely the guy with the drumstick straws getting up with the girl with the bracelets and leaving, before she focused fully on Erik again. "What would that have been then?"
She was beginning to feel the familiar panic she usually experienced when she trusted new people. In an attempt to calm herself as best as she could, Bailey reminded herself that she could probably hurt Erik a lot easier than he could hurt her. Keeping her smile soft and pleasant despite her inner turmoil, the brunette cocked her head to the side, still resting it in her hands. "Or perhaps you would be spreading the fun and interest to others, and that way creating new fun and interesting people," she mused, mentally convincing herself that he was a nice person and that he wasn't out to hurt her.
Shrugging slightly at Erik's assumption that 6 am would be a bit early, Bailey let her arms drop to down to lay flat on the table. "Well, I work early on Mondays, so I would be at work at 6," she informed him. "But..." Her tone was somewhat hesitant and there was something hopeful in her eyes when she looked at him. "I get off at noon?" She scolded herself for making it sound like a question. He just said that he would pick her up around noon if she wanted, so why on earth did she have to ask?

Erik still smiled “well we can’t all be smart all the time” it seemed that she was getting more comfortable, not as nervous. But then again it could just be an outwards appearance. In any case he wasn’t going to let it scare him of. But he had to go soon, after that text he had gotten he would properly het more if he didn’t get up and got home so he could receive the script. Not that he really wanted to at the moment, but it was his job. “well you could be right, perhaps spreading the fun people would make more fun people. On the other hand, if the fun people were around none fun people they could stop being fun. And then there would be no fun people left?”
He had figured that she would either be asleep or at work, so it didn’t really surprise him. However she looked a bit sad because of it, the way she let her arms drop to the table, made her look a bit sad. “well I figured that, after all most people work on a Monday, and many people early.” It was a bit funny that she suddenly seemed hesitant with the part about him picking her up at noon. He had after all given that suggestion himself. So Erik just smiled “Sure that it no problem, I will just pick you up, should I pick you up from work? Or from somewhere else?” just as he was waiting for a response, a sound from his phone told him that he had gotten another message, and he didn’t need to look to see what it was about. “Sorry I really got to get going, but I will call you later and we can figure something out okay.?”

Holding up her hands in a surrendering gesture, but smiling broadly at the same time, Bailey shook her head slowly. "Don't worry about leaving me," she said, still smiling. "I think my Tuesday has finally gotten to an end." One of her hands dropped back to the table where it began to tap out a new beat, the other waved Erik off. "Just shoo already. Go spread the fun and smartness." She gave up at keeping the grin from spreading. She formed a 'phone' with her still lifted hand and held it to her ear. "Don't forget to call me though," she called after the actor as he left.
Staying put by the table for a little while longer, Bailey let both her hands tap out an intricate melody on the table, while she smiled absentmindedly ahead. She felt a little on edge after having given a complete stranger her number, because that was really what Erik was, and though he seemed like a nice guy, she knew from experience that looks could be deceiving. Yet there was something abut the blond guy that made her believe that he really wasn't up to something bad. The brunette snorted at herself. 'Get a grip Bailey. You are a horrible judge of character,' she scolded herself, pulling a disgruntled face. How on earth had she gotten herself into this? Simple, she had done what she did best: Let her first impression get the better of her and start crushing on the first cute guy she saw. 'Real nice, Bailey May. Real nice.'
