(Please keep in mind that we have given ourselves the artistic freedom to change the mythologies in order to fit into the board. Thank you.)
Before time, everything was all and everything was nothing. A light appeared in three parts of this nothingness, too close and yet too far away to ever meet.
These lights each began their own journey in what they created as life and a world that were one, but never connected. An earth with three worlds, slowly took its part of the nothingness, never to connect. Time was simple, you were born, you grew up, you fought, you loved, you worked, you died… nothing seemed to be ever able to stir the peace of these worlds. Three rulers of these worlds, knew about each other and the worlds beyond their own, but were never to co-exist.
These three worlds were ruled by:
Odin, the king of Valhalla, a place that ruled the northern part of the worlds, under him were all the Aesirs, Valkyries, Vanirs, giants and human and though they all fought amongst each other, he was never to be taken off his thrown.
Ra, the king of sun and portrayed as a half man, half hawk, ruler of the south eastern part of the worlds. He kept to himself as he ruled over the Gods and humans, letting them take their own course of life. Not much is known about this king as he preferred to veil himself in mystery.
Cronus, God of the titans and men, ruling as a terrifying man over the south western part of the worlds, raping and living his life as he pleased, destroying all he had.
Time went by in the worlds, when something shook the foundation of one of the worlds, Cronus had made sure that none of his children could throw him off his thrown, like he had once done to his own, by eating each child. But his wife, Rhea, had hidden a son from him as she could not live to see another of her children devoured. This son, named Zeus, grew up with the desire to save his siblings. As he cut his father’s stomach open, killing the king of this world, Zeus himself became the king of the world, sharing it with his brothers, Poseidon was given the seas and Hades was given the underworld. But what he had not told them, was that the moment he concurred the throne, he too came to realize that there were other worlds. Now Zeus extended his kingdom to rule over the last titans, the human and the Olympians as the head God of them all.
The three worlds, once again continued with their stories on their own, wars were fought, tears were shed and love was made, separated by a black pit of nothingness.
But once again, something shook the foundations of these worlds, but this time nothing could ever restore what once was. Men turned against their Gods and started as one to believe in one God in a trinity, one truth, one way, that prettified their lives as human. This shook the three worlds together and created one earth.
Now the Gods have resigned to their own kingdoms, separated from the world that is now ruled by men, not because they feared children of the man, but simply because they could not be bothered anymore, after millions of years reign.
This is now 2012 years ago, the world is still dominated by men, but amongst walks the children of what is now called the old mythologies. Demi Gods, Descends and so on. They are a known and feared fact in the world that is ruled by ‘Children of God’, a group of Christian fanatics that wish to delete every trace of any religion that has nothing to do with Christianity.
How will the story evolve from here? Will the course of men continue and in the end succeed? Or will the children of the Gods prevail and bring forth the elder ages as a new and improved one? Oracles, Priestesses and Völves can tell you one thing: war is on its way
