Rules
Member Behavior.
1. We expect that when you join this site, you are agreeing on reading and following the rules.
2. This site is mainly PG-13 rated; this regards violence and sexual content. Swearing is allowed, but do not use it to offend others or use it as name calling. If you chose to rate a thread [W] (W=warning) because you somehow think the content needs it, please make an OOC warning in the beginning of the thread explaining what kind of content you expect will appear. This is not an encouragement to make pornographic threads or anything like that, this is simply because we realize that the plot allows violent and dark settings that some members may find inappropriate or simply wish to avoid this kind of reading. Marking your thread will be with a [W] in front of the title of your thread. However, you will still need to keep the graphic descriptions to a minimum but in this way easily offended members can avoid this kind of threads and we do not get any complains.
We also get that you may wish for your character to have a sexual life, but you will still have to fade to black (before they do it and keep the graphic descriptions to a minimum) because it is against the ProBoard TOS to have this kind of mature content and we do not wish this board to be pornographic. This rule applies for signatures, uploaded pictures, posts, PMs and all other content you find on the site.
3. We do not tolerate any OOC drama; this means harassment, flaming, OOC name calling and discrimination of sexual orientation, religion, political opinions, age, gender and race.
4. Members are expected to solve problems in a mature way; Fighting in OOC threads, in the Cbox is not allowed. If you have an issue with another member, PM the member. If the disagreement comes out of hand PM a member of the staff (preferably with quotes).
Do not start a fight over PM and expect the staff to solve it, each member will be equally punished if they break the rules (see §3 in EB) no matter who started it.
5. Plagiarism is NOT allowed.
6. Any content (image, post, link or other) can without warning be deleted if the staff finds it to be vulgar, offensive or in other ways are breaking the rules. The member will receive the deleted post by PM with an explanation.
7. We do not tolerate spamming.
8. Advertisement is allowed in the advertising board only. This means no PMs, no e-mails, no threads in other places and nothing advertise alike is allowed in the Cbox.
The Staff
1. The staff is here to make things run smoothly and is on duty while being on their staff account. This means that you shouldn’t expect any special treatment if you know us IRL or in other ways feel a special connection to us. Please show us respect and apply to our rules so we don’t have to be harsh and bitchy.
2. The rules also apply to the staff.
3. Any member feeling abused, mistreated, or otherwise feels that a staff member is at their back should file a complaint by PM to Freestyler or Stupidity (preferably with quotes from the incident).
4. The staff members are to be treated with respect as they are using their time to improve the board for the players and maintain the rights of the players and makes sure that everyone is equal.
5. The staff can at any given time modify the rules. This will result in a pm, notifying the members about the update.
Characters and character creation.
1. All characters must be posted in a thread in the Completed Character board.
2. One character for each account to avoid confusion.
3. Characters without the password will not be accepted.
4. All characters must receive the Accepted stamp before they may be used (this means they are approved by two members of the staff).
5. All characters are required to be in the official character application, and have filled in every part of it.
6. Read the character application before posting your character, it says how many paragraphs we expect you to writ in each part.
7. We do not accept "perfect" characters (meaning Mary Sues and Gary Stues), and we are most likely not going to accept anti-Mary Sues/-Gary Stues.
8. Do not argue with the staffs who review your character. Remember that cocky replies can be seen as an attitude or talking back, and this can lead to misunderstandings as the staff can’t see the glimpse in your eye or the smile on your lip.
9. The staff will prefer if you show us some activity with your character before applying for a new one. However, if you show us plenty of activity with all of your characters, there is no limit as to how many characters you are allowed to have.
10. Marriage between characters are entirely up to the players (as long as the marriage follows the law), but pregnancy will have to be agreed with the staff as it means a new character and therefore needs approval.
11. Members are to use celebrity face claims (play bys) for their characters. We do not accept characters using drawings or other kind of non-real person face claims (and you are not allowed to use MySpace or FaceBook or other kinds of non-famous persons as face claims).
12. Relation to canon characters needs to be approved by one or several members of the staff (depending on the canon)
13. Your signatures are allowed to be no more than 500x200 pixels.
14. Your avatar is allowed to be no more than 150x200 pixels (it will adjust automatically).
In Character.
1. It is prohibited to play with your character before it is accepted. It is also prohibited to play with another member’s character, before it has been accepted. However, you are welcome to be active in the OOC Zone.
2. We have a strict minimum word count on 150 words (one good-length paragraph), as we don’t want any one liners. Also keep in mind how much the other players in the thread are writing and try to make it match in the length, as it shows respect for the other member’s work.
3. No power playing or Godmodding. Godmodding is only allowed if you have the permission of the other player or a member of the staff (only happens in a plot).
4. It is allowed for characters to be in as many threads as they like, but make sure the time line fits.
5. It is not allowed to enter a “closed” thread, unless you have been allowed by all members in the thread.
6. If your character breaks the law, they can end up in prison (your character will receive its sentence that will contain a certain amount of in game time).
Character death.
1. Your character is able to die, but of course the murderer will have to have your permission.
2. When your character die, they will come to a death realm where they are able to RP with other dead characters.
3. Your character needs to be brought back by other characters, in order for your character to resurrect. This is considered a plot and has to be approved by the staff and you.
4. Your character can get clues to where the death realms are, by collecting these in game. Your character doesn't need to die to get to a death realm, but they will need to know the entrance.
5. All the death realms are separated and you are not able to move between them. Don’t worry, the staff will take this in to consideration if your character dies and you will most likely not be left a place without any other players.
Plots.
1. The staff will make sign-up threads where you need to enter to participate in a plot.
2. If you mean a plot creates a special disadvantage for your character, even if you don’t participate in it, please PM a member of the staff.
3. You are allowed to make minor plots yourself, but they need to be approved by two members of the staff.
4. When big plots are created, the admins may need some NPC with special powers and so on. If you play one of these NPCs, you are only allowed to do so in the threads affected by the plot.
The C-box
1. You may not RP in the c-box with your character, before it has been approved.
This means you only may chat as yourself (with your player name) until your character has been approved.
2. The rules for good behavior applies for the c-box as well. Remember, no OOC drama.
3. Still no advertisement in the c-box.
4. The c-box is for everyone, so therefore.. treat each other with respect.
5. Remember that the c-box doesn't replace RPing. This means your characters still needs to get to know each other, develop feelings and so on, in game. However, you are allowed to invite other characters to a thread and agree on things and so on (though still no strongly developed feelings and relations).
6. No spamming, trolling or other disrespectful behavior in the ooc c-box. The ooc c-box is for everyone guests and players (and it doesn't matter if you have a character or not).
The password is 5 letters colored red in this thread.
